Our founding story

OLarry began in 2022, when Eric Rachmel lost his father, Larry, mid-tax season and took over the CPA practice Larry had run for two decades, an experience that showed him how far behind tax advice had fallen. Drawing on fifteen years in venture capital and startups, most recently as founder of Brace (acquired 2023), Eric partnered with Becky Hobbs and Corey Heldreth to build a modern tax firm that keeps experienced professionals at its center, backed by technology.

They've built that expertise at firms like Ernst & Young, Andersen Tax, Deloitte, PwC, and CBIZ, and they're backed by an engineering team with just as much depth, building the technology that keeps that advice sharp.
